"To call in the statistician after the experiment is done may be no more than asking him to perform a post-mortem examination: he may be able to say what the experiment died of." - Sir Ronald Aylmer Fisher

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.” - Anonymous

I am Wan Nor Arifin, a lecturer at Biostatistics and Research Methodology Unit, School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. I teach medical statistics and some other interesting subjects. I am mainly interested in the development and validation of measurement tools and machine learning, especially for use in clinical and public health settings. I am also interested in R statistical programming language and promoting its use in medical statistics. Of note, I use R everyday, even as a desk calculator.
